We are located in downtown Carrboro providing the community with unique food and drink parings in an intimate and lively setting.

A main role of our team members is to assist guests through the menu and educate them on our cuisine.
We ask that all staff displays full knowledge about menu items to best assist guests in making food and beverage selections.
We require that all team members display strong communication, collaboration, active listening, and problem-solving skills to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Bartending at Iza:
Iza Whiskey and Eats is looking for a motivated, energetic, and passionate bartender to join the service team.
The ideal candidate will be invested and excited about all things beverage.
You will be in direct communication with management to create drink specials and assist with maintaining bar inventory.
Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding guest needs and expectations.
Service and bartending experience is required as you will be responsible for taking care of your bar patrons while also maintaining a busy service well.
Bartenders are also responsible for maintaining inventory on liquor, prepping syrups, juices, etc.
Job Duties and Requirements:
Ability to multitask, be flexible, and accurately communicate with team members and guests of any unexpected changes Stay on your feet for multiple hours Remain composed and calm despite job stresses Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with guests.
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests Assess guest needs and preferences and make recommendations Plan and present potential bar menu for spring/summer and fall/winter seasonal changes Check guest identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience Comply with all food and beverage regulations Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift Keep an eye on guest intoxication levels and respond appropriately Identify belligerent guests, and work with management when needed to maintain a safe environment Clean the bar and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed Must be able to lift 50lbs Pick up liquor orders from ABC if needed Maintain up to date inventory for liquor, wine, sake, fruit, etc.
Prep syrups, garnish, juices, etc.
Effectively perform opening and closing duties as specified Other duties as requested Skills:
Resume and proven working experience as a bartender Excellent knowledge in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks POS literacy Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean If you are a team player, friendly, personable, product and sales oriented, and have high expectations for guest satisfaction, we would love to hear from you!
